The Fairtrade Foundation is the UK member of the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation (FLO) – a standard setting body. FLO-Cert, a separate organization, is responsible for the inspection and certification of producer organisations against the Fairtrade Standards. World Fair Trade Association WFTO is the International Fair Trade Association, the global network of Fair Trade Organizations (FTOs). Over 300 FTOs in 70 countries form the basis of the WFTO network and membership is growing steadily. Approximately 65% of WFTO members are based in the South (that is: Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America) with the rest coming from North America & the Pacific Rim and Europe. World Fair Trade DayWorld Fair Trade Day has grown into a global festival of Fair Trade with events organized worldwide, on and around the second Saturday of May by members of the World Fair Trade Organization across 70 countries.
